About Us
The Department of Information Technology was established in the year 2019. The department introduced the B.Tech. Information Technology program in the academic year 2019–2020 with an initial intake of 60 students. The intake was subsequently increased to 120 in the academic year 2022–2023, and further expanded to 180 in the academic year 2025–2026. The programme is offered in affiliation with Anna University, Chennai and is accredited by the National Board of Accreditation (NBA). The department is equipped with centrally air-conditioned computer centers housing 195 systems and state-of-the-art computing facilities with adequate power backup to support uninterrupted learning and research activities.
